well i haven't experienced this yet but i think that this happened because you were love blinded and you were too blind to see that he didnt love you the same way you loved him and you just suffered for someone who wasn't worth falling in love for.....until you realized that he always ignored you and didn't even care how you felt about him so that was why you suffered even more and it was hard for you to let go because you really had feelings for that person and knowing that he doesn't feel the same way for you and you know you will never love you back so that person wasn't worth your tears or your suffering for him... he didnt deserve you
